I just got out of the hospital. I have multi blood clots in my lungs, pneumonia and a UTI. I am so thankful to be here. If anyone happens to read this please pray for me. I am so glad to be home.

I am so thankful I am feeling well enough to do things again. I am thankful for my family for being a help these last months, I wouldn't have made it without them. And I am thankful my hair is finally growing a little. 

It's been also a year

This last year has been really hard for me. My health took a big turndown this last summer. My RA was acting up big time so Dr put me on Methotexate again. Well I ended up in hospital for 2 months. My pancreas was only working 50 percent, I got staph that spread though out my body and then I got a blood clot. I had to gain my strength back, so basically I had to learn to walk again after being in a wheelchair for over 5 months. I am driving again after 6 months, that was real strange. It was touch and go for a while, so I thank the Lord I am still here and he is not done with me yet.

Missing my Dad....

Today would have been my Dad's 86th birthday. I am missing him.

Favorite Books for 2013

So many Books so little time

I have read 51 for the year, which is way less than last year. I think I may have forgotten to write down some of the Kindle books I read. Oh well, here is my favorite list for the year!

1) Lady at the OK Corral by Ann Kirschner. I hated history as a kid but love it now :)

2) Three Sisters by Susan Mallery. It is about 3 houses!

3) The Lemon Orchard by Luanne Rice, I love her books. 

4) Sea Glass Summer by Dorothy Cannell. About learning to love and trust again.

5) First Phone Call from Heaven by Mitch Abom. Will make you wonder? 

And my favorite series this year is "The Walk" series by Richard Paul Evans. Makes me want to go for a walk!

Crafting

I came across these loop embroidery I did in the 80's when I was in my 20's. I was 20 when I found out I had Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have had RA for over 33 years now. It has taken a toll on my hands. I wonder if my hands could handle finishing the poodle?

I am so thankful to get to spend time with my youngest grandson. He will be starting school next year and will be 5 in Dec. My oldest grandson Joshua will be 16 in Dec. My granddaughter Allyssa is 13 and will graduate 8th grade in May. Where has all the time went. They grow up so fast. 

As they get older I don't get to see them as much! That's why every second with them is a blessing!

Halloween

I wanted to try get a blog in before Halloween. I don't have much time to write but I will squeeze a few pictures in! We had fun at Mother Nature's farm in Gilbert AZ and the 74th Annual Halloween Carnival in Buckeye AZ.

Las Vegas

I was in Vegas this week while eating a the Spice Market (Planet Hollywood) I had to do my own "Cupcake Wars" One each of red velvet, Smores, Caramel, Kahlua and Chocolate with cherry liqueur. The Chocolate with cherry liqueur won!

I know she's not the real deal but I always have to say Hi to Ms. Liberty!

Do you know that all the times I have been to Vegas I have never went into the Luxor Hotel and Casino. Maybe next trip!

On the trip home it looked like we were going to drive right into Lake Mead 

Yorkie Cupcakes and Flower Cupcakes

Yesterday was my good friend (since high school) birthday. She loves her little yorkie, Lexie almost as much as her daughter, So I made these Yorkie & flower cupcakes for her. She loved them.
