Newport Beach ~ Dave's Birthday

I wish I was a Newport Beach today because today would have been Dave's 48th birthday. He has been gone for almost three years now. Sometimes it just seems like yesterday other times it seems much longer.

This picture of Dave and me was taken at Newport Beach in 1999. We spent almost every weekend there while he was working a construction job near by. We loved Newport!

This was taken on Halloween; we were getting ready for a Bar-B-Que that night. We lived in this little RV while he was working in California.

I miss you Dave!

Since I can't be at Newport Beach right now, the next best thing is to visit Newport through a webcam.

"Thankful Thursday"

I have never done a "Thankful Thursday" post before so I thought it was time to start! I have read so many lovely "Thankful Thursday" post by ofter bloggers.

I am thankful for my family! I thank God for giving me the family he did! I am Thankful to God for loving me and blessing me in so many ways.

This picture is of me and my sons, Jeremy and Joshua. It was taken at our family reunion last Oct.

We will miss you....Precious

Today was a really hard day we had to put my son's dog Precious to sleep. She was having heart problems plus today she lost the use of her back legs, she was in a lot of pain. The vet was not sure why and said the heart problems didn't cause the problems with her legs. We didn't want her to be in anymore pain. It was so hard. She was a very good doggy and she will be missed!

The ladies at the vet decorated her box for her!

She was like a daughter to my son, since he has no kids Precious meant the world to him! He is going to be sad for a while. The picture above was taken on his birthday in January, he didn't want his picture taken so he hid behind her.

Precious we love you and will miss you!

Burn

I just finished reading "Burn" by Linda Howard. She doesn't disappoint; another great book! It starts off with the main character winning a jackpot lottery! Does money really change everything; you will have to read to find out!

Nap Time

When Nicholas is getting ready for his nap time he has to have a few items close by

Number one is his bottle, then his blanket and a few toys! Here he noticed I had the camera and he was reaching for it!

Sleep over came the urge to play with the camera.

'Finger Lickin' Fifteen"

I finished reading "Finger Lickin' Fifteen" by Janet Evanovich. I have read all of her books and I loved this one. It is laugh out loud funny! Laid off....again

Well I got the news this past Monday; that Friday would be my last day of work. Because of the economy my company closed my office! I had worked for them the last 7 years, except the 4 1/2 months I was laid off this past winter. So as of yesterday I am unemployed again. So I am back to looking for a job, making decisions on my future. What to do; well this weekend I am just going to be lazy and relax. I am not going to worry about not having a job this weekend!
