In Memory of the RMS Titanic

On the night of April 14, 1912 the RMS Titanic was on its maiden voyage from Southampton England to New York City

It was a beautiful ship inside and out. It had many luxuries.

It hoped to make it to New York faster then any previous ships. But its fate was already sealed when it struck an iceberg which ripped open the side of the ship. It had boasted that it was unsinkable. The tragedy claimed more than 1500 of the 2228 passengers and crew on board. There was not enough life boats for all on-board. Many of the life boats were launched only partly filled that night.

Titanic struck the iceberg about 11:40 pm on April 14th and sank just a few hours later at 2:20 am on April 15th. People were shocked to hear of the sinking because it was thought to be unsinkable.

John Astor and his wife where one of the wealthiest people on board. This above picture is of John Astor's funeral. Madeleine Astor & unborn son survived the tragedy.

The wreckage of the Titanic was not discovered until 1985.

Since then many artifacts from Titanic have been recovered from the sea bed.




Millvina Dean was only 9 weeks old when she survived. She was the youngest on board. Millvina passed away at the age of 97 in 2009.

Death has now claimed all of Titanic's passengers.

The Titanic tragedy has inspired many books, films, plays and artwork. I believe as the years so by it will inspire many more.

It's going to be a cupcake week

For Easter there is going to be about 60 of us at the park. I am bringing cupcakes and rice crispy treats. I am going to be busy this week. What are your plans for Easter?

Also I need some help? I want a new blogger name and I can't come up with anything I like. Anyone got any ideals?

Titanic

The 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic is coming up next month. Also the re-release of the movie Titanic in 3D. I have found lots of websites about the Titanic. I have always had an interest in the Titanic. I've been to see a couple of the artifacts exhibits. They are fascinating. My heart just goes out to the many people who lost their lives that night.

God is good~

I have been so stressed the past couple of weeks since my Honda's transmission died a slow death. Well God has blessed my son & I with a new (new to us) car. My son paid the down payment and we will split the monthly payment. We will be sharing the car with works out fine for me. God has heard my prayers and answered them :)

Show and Tell with Nicky / Prayer needed

Nicky wanted to show off his Puss in Boots. His parents bought him the movie and it came with. We watched it and I thought it was a cute movie.

Please say a prayer for me I have been down in the dumps lately. My transmission went out in my car. Cost is to high to warrant fixing it. Don't know what I am going to do. This is the 1st time I have ever been without a car since I started driving. Also lots of health issues and medicine issues to even mention them all here. Please remember me in your prayers. Thank you all so very much.

Growing up

I just absolutely love this picture of my grand children Allyssa and Joshua. They took it at their mom's house on the laptop camera. You would never know these two fight with each other a lot. But they also love each other! :) I can't believe how fast they are growing up Allyssa will be 12 in June and Joshua will be 15 in December and then their little brother Nicky will be 4 in December too! Time just keeps on flying by.

Oh guess who turned 100 today.....Arizona! Yes my great state is now 100. I love Arizona, well maybe not so much in the summer when it 110+ outside! lol
