We got a crazy dirt storm last night. My niece took these picture as it was moving into her area in Gilbert last night. My poor little great nephew was crying it scared him so. News is saying this may be the biggest dirt storm ever. It was over a mile high and 70 miles wide. I live in the far west valley from Phoenix and it hit my area around 8:30. I didn't get any pictures it was already dark. But boy did it sound like my roof was coming off my house. Can you imagine trying to drive on the freeways during this storm. It's crazy, you couldn't even see beyond a car or two in front of you. The airport even shut down for a while. If you have ever been to Arizona in the summertime you know to expect these during our monsoon time. But this one was just extra big.
