Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day Dad! I love you! Above is my favorite picture of me and my Dad. We had so much fun fishing when I was a kid. Every summer we would go camping up by Mormon Lake in northern AZ. This picture was taken at Ashurst Lake. We could sit there and in about an hour have our limit of fish for the day!

This family picture we took in 2008 for Dad's 80th birthday. I wish I could be in NM today with Dad and family. My sisters and brother-in-laws are taking my Mom and Dad on a picnic today! I miss all of them but my sister has a new camera and she promises to take lots of pictures!
I love my family!

Virtual Vacation ~ Washington

My virtual vacation is in the great state of Washington. This is Mt. Rainer, isn't she beautiful! I once worked with a lady that hiked on this mountain and she swore she saw Big Foot!

This beautiful mountain is Mt. St. Helens. Mount St. Helens is most famous for it's catastrophic eruption in 1980. That is why it is now shaped like a horseshoe crater.

This scenic view is Port Angeles! Former NFL quarterback John Elway was born in Port Angeles.

Seattle is the largest city in Washington. All lite up at night it looks like jewels! Look at the beautiful Space Needle. It was built for the 1962 World's Fair.

This is the first Starbucks coffee house in Seattle! They have come a long way!

And since I am in Washington I have to stop by Forks, WA, which gained popularity by being the setting for the home town in the "Twilight" series written by Stephenie Meyer.

These are walking trails in nearby Olympic National Park! The average precipitation is 106.91 inches in a year. That's why the trees look like they are growing hair!

Some day I hope to go to Washington. It is a beautiful state. I think I may be drawn to it because of all the greenery. Since I have lived here in the Phoenix (Desert) all my life.

Spider

My nephew's wife killed this spider in their garage. They live by the San Tan Mountain range in Queen Creek AZ. They were told it was a camel spider. I was born and raised here in Arizona and I have never seen this spider before. Just looking at it scares me! I asked my dad who worked outside in the AZ desert for over 18 years if he has ever seen one and he had not. Where did this spider come from? If anyone has seen a spider like this let me know where?

"one nation, under GOD."

This is a statement that was read over the PA system at the football game at Roane County High School , Kingston , Tennessee , by school Principal, Jody McLeod

"It has always been the custom at Roane County High School football games, to say a prayer and play the National Anthem, to honor God and Country."

Due to a recent ruling by the Supreme Court, I am told that saying a Prayer is a violation of Federal Case Law. As I understand the law at this time, I can use this public facility to approve of sexual perversion and call it "an

alternate life style," and if someone is offended, that's OK.

I can use it to condone sexual promiscuity, by dispensing condoms and calling it, "safe sex." If someone is offended, that's OK.

I can even use this public facility to present the merits of killing an unborn baby as a "viable! means of birth control." If someone is offended, no problem...

I can designate a school day as "Earth Day" and involve students in activities to worship religiously and praise the goddess "Mother Earth" and call it "ecology.."

I can use literature, videos and presentations in the classroom that depicts people with strong, traditional Christian convictions as "simple minded" and "ignorant" and call it "enlightenment.."

However, if anyone uses this facility to honor GOD and to ask HIM to Bless this event with safety and good sportsmanship, then Federal Case Law is violated.

This appears to be inconsistent at best, and at worst, diabolical.
Apparently, we are to be tolerant of everything and anyone, except GOD and HIS Commandments.

Nevertheless , as a school principal, I frequently ask staff and students to abide by rules with which they do not necessarily agree. For me

to do otherwise would be inconsistent at best, and at worst, hypocritical... I suffer from that affliction enough unintentionally. I certainly do not need to add an intentional transgression.

For this reason, I shall "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's," and refrain from praying at this time.

" However, if you feel inspired to honor, praise and thank GOD and ask HIM,in the name of JESUS, to Bless this event, please feel free to do so.. As far as I know, that's not against the law----yet."

One by one, the people in the stands bowed their heads, held

hands with one another and began to pray.

They prayed in the stands. They prayed in the team huddles. They prayed at the concession stand and they prayed in the Announcer's Box!

The only place they didn't pray was in the Supreme Court of the United States of America- the Seat of "Justice" in the "one nation, under GOD."

Somehow, Kingston , Tennessee Remembered what so many have forgotten. We are given the Freedom OF Religion, not the Freedom FROM Religion. Praise GOD that HIS remnant remains!

JESUS said, "If you are ashamed of ME before men, then I will be ashamed of you before MY FATHER.."

I received this in an email; I thought it was worth posting!

There is still a little snow on the San Francisco Peaks in Flagstaff.

Lets go hunt for Gold in the Superstition Mountains.

There's gold in them there hills. Lost Dutchman mine!

Phoenix at night! The Valley of the Sun has gotten so much bigger then the Phoenix of my youth!

Last stop Tombstone Arizona to watch a old time gun fight!

Boothill were some of the legends of the old west are buried.

Tombstone back in 1881. I am so glad I didn't live during this time.

Where to next? I am thinking Washington State. I need somewhere cooler than AZ.

Virtual Vacation ~ Michigan

My virtual vacations is on Mackinac Island. My blogging friend Ceekay suggested it.

You come to this beautiful Island by a ferry. That is Mackinac Bridge in the background.

This is our beautiful Grand Hotel! You can almost see my window there above the first US Flag.

This is a picture of Arch Rock. It is natural limestone. It reminds me of a looking glass to another world.

There is no cars on
Mackinac Island so I am a bit tired from all the walking.

A awesome site looking at the Mackinac Bridge at night.

The Grand Hotel is a beautiful site at night, all in lights.
The Grand Hotel's front porch is purportedly the longest in the world at some 660 feet in length.

I am going to kick back and relax on the porch with a glass of wine!

I hope you enjoyed Mackinac Island! My next virtual vacation will be in my great state of Arizona!
