Schools out for the summer!

I have to show off the awards my grand kids received. I am proud of them.

Allyssa received this report card award because for the whole year there was a possible 50 A's. She received 47 out of 50 A's for the year. The highest in her class. She sure didn't take after me.

Joshua received this award in band, he plays the drums. He is the first chair. His dad always wanted to play drums but they had him play the trumpet instead. I am so proud of Joshua and I hope he stays with it.

Joshua is so smart! He has a achieved every year he has been going to school. One more to add!

Here is a couple more for Allyssa, you go girl!

I think I have two of the smartest Grand kids, but that is just my opinion. I am not biased at all! lol

I am proud to be their Grandma!

Love you Joshua and Allyssa!

Snow White

Allyssa and I went to see Snow White performed at the Peoria Theater Works. They did a awesome job. It was all youth performing, ranging in age from 8 to 16 years old. Some had been performing for over ten years. This was the first time I had ever been; but it will not be the last.

My Dad the Birthday Boy!

I am home now after spending all week with my dad, he was in the hospital but was released the day before his birthday, May 13th.

Here is the birthday boy being silly with his new hat!

Mom got him this raccoon pin for his hat. He traps raccoons, skunks and squirrels. The game and fish department come and relocate them out of town.

This picture was taken the day I left. Mom, Gloria, Cindey, Dad and myself

Here is our group. Mom, Cindey, Gloria, Dad, Me, Alisha (Cindey's daughter), Eddie (Gloria husband) and Richard (Cindey's husband) in front.

Here are Dad's three girls. We all love Dad so much. He has a weakening heart and kidneys, we don't know how much longer we will have him around. Only God knows, this is true for all of us. I am so thankful for the week I was able to spend with my family. I just wish it could have been longer.

Teacher Appreciation Week

The first week in May is Teacher Appreciation Week. I am showing appreciation to my 5th grade teacher, Mr. Davis. He instilled in me my love of reading. Mr. Davis also was my favorite teacher. He is passed away now, but just last year I talked to his wife Mrs. Davis (a teacher also). I told her how much I loved having Mr. Davis as a teacher.
I also noticed the two boys that are on each side of me in this picture, have both passed away. It is so sad. We just had my 30th reunion last October. We have lost a lot of classmates over the years. Oh to those old schools days, I think back on the memories fondly. Well most of them! lol

"Happy Birthday Josh"

Today is my oldest son, Josh's birthday. In the picture above he is 8 weeks old and I was 18. I can't believe he is 31 years old today! Where has all the time gone! It just flies by.

Josh is 7 years old in this picture. He loved playing soccer. He played for many years until girls came in the picture and he starting working so he could take them out.

Here he is with his girlfriend Rosemary. This picture was taken just a few weeks back when we all went to the Coyotes game.

Sometimes it is hard to believe he is a grown man now with three children of his own.

Tonight we are all going out to eat and Rosemary is making his favorite cake, German Chocolate.
