My mom got my name Cherrie from the old Marilyn Monroe movie "Bus Stop" her character was Cherie. My mom added an extra r, and she pronounced it "Sherry". I answer to both pronunciations, since some friends like to say it with the C. Mom's is not even a big Marilyn Monroe fan but she liked the name. My late boyfriend was crazy about Marilyn. I have his collection, and I have added a few of my own.Where did you get your name from, were you named after someone?
