The Lure of the Gold ~

The legend of the Dutchman mine in the Superstition Mountains is still luring hikers in to look for the gold. As of early July three men have been lost in the mountains. They came down from Utah to search for the gold. Their families say they were obsessed with the legend and thought they could find it. Many people over the years have searched and lost their lives trying to find the mine. There was a young man lost last year that still has not been found. The lure of the gold sucks them in and they believe they will be the ones that will find it. With temperatures around 110 + these last couple of weeks that chance of finding these gentlemen alive is diminishing fast. Most likely it is already to late. Which is truly sad because there is no proof that the gold is even there. It all could very well be just a legend....

What a terrible way to die! Sad so sad that men put their lives on the line for a legend.
Even as crazy as I am I think I would have to pass on this search.
I love my AC to much. hahaha
Thanks for always coming by and leaving me such sweet comments.
I am better today after reading all of your and the others comments how could I not be.
Tomorrow is prep day for the surgery so that may not be fun. I am such a weinie when it comes to drinking stuff other than Diet Dr. Pepper.
I plan on doing one more post before Friday so I can tell everyone what is going on. A few changes to the schedule
On your other post about the comments is there someway you can block a person from leaving comments on your site. I thought it was but I could be wrong.
Hope your having a good week.
Love
Maggie

It is sad that some are so hungry for riches they don't consider their own lives. One would think with the history of the deaths of those before them they would not do such a thing. Hugs!
