Missing my Dad

I haven't been on here for a while a lot going on in my world. My dear loving Dad passed away in March. I am so glad he is no longer in pain but I miss him so much. He was a great Dad to my sisters and I. I am thankful I got to spend two weeks with him and Mom in January but I didn't know it would be the last time I would see him alive. Or I would have hugged and kissed him more.

Also in March I almost lost my youngest son Jeremy to cirrohsis of his liver. His liver was in failure. My pastor and others came in to hospital to pray over him. The next day he stablized. He had only been a drinker for the last five years. He has now been sober for two months. I am proud he has made this choice to quit drinking. His liver is in real bad shape but his doctors are pleased with his process. He is not able to work so the financial burden has fallen on me.

Please keep my family in prayer 2013 has been a hard year for us. Losing my brother - in - law, my dad and then this with Jeremy is almost to much. Thank you!

so sorry to hear of your heartaches all at one time. My dad had a hat just like the one your dad has on. He died in 06 at age 92. the good news is your son can come back from this, my cousin Skip was at deaths door and he had been drinking for 40 years, they told the family there was no hope, and sent him from the hospital to the nursing home. he was there 6 weeks and has now been healthy for 6 years. they were planning his funeral, we all prayed and now he is doing great and working and has been for 6 years. I pray now for your son to come back to full health.

Such a painful March you had to go through. I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad but glad that you got to spend such quality time with him.
Thank goodness your son has all ready decided to quit drinking. The liver is a remarkable organ and it can regenerate. If he stays sober, he can have a long happy
life.
I have been sober for 35 years. I will definitely pray for him and for you.

Hi, sweet Cherrie! What a nice surprise to find your comment on my kitties blog. I am so sorry to hear about your dad. My mom passed 2 years ago in March. I miss her still so much. It is just so good to make contact with you. Hope you are doing well. Hugs, Mumsy (Maggie)
