Titanic

The 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic is coming up next month. Also the re-release of the movie Titanic in 3D. I have found lots of websites about the Titanic. This one is really good titanic3d.tumblr.com fans can upload their own drawings. Some are excellent artists. Here is just a few. Top one is by Dale McCarthy.

This one is by Elisabeth
This one of Jack is by Erick Roa. These three all have awesome talent.

I have always had an interest in the Titanic. I've been to see a couple of the artifacts exhibits. They are fascinating. My heart just goes out to the many people who lost their lives that night.

RMS Titanic

On April 14, 1912 the RMS Titanic was on it's maiden voyage to New York.

It had over 3500 people on broad.

It only had lifeboat capacity for 1,178 people.

It had beautiful wood panelling and expensive furniture. She offered an on-board swimming pool, a gymnasium, libraries in both the first and second-class floors.
About 11:40 pm the Titanic strikes an iceberg. About two hours and forty minutes after striking the iceberg, the "unsinkable" RMS Titanic slips into the sea to the ocean floor. 1517 lives were lost.
The wreckage was discovered in 1985.
Our local science center had the artifact exhibition on display.
When entering you are given a copy of a boarding pass
Mine was for passenger Mrs. Wilhelm Strom (Edna Matilda Person) she was accompanied by her daughter Selma age 2 and her brother Ernst Ulrik Person. They were 3rd class passengers. They did not survive.
I read many books on the Titanic, my heart goes out to the passenger's. Even the ones that were lucky enough to survive that night was forever changed by their experience.
