My home group is doing a bible study on the prayer of Jabez. This prayer below is from our study guide. I think it is a beautiful prayer.

My Prayer for Blessing

Dear Lord,

I want every single blessing

that You would love to give me

Forgive me for not desiring

these enough to ask for them.

Please open Your heart, and be gracious to me.

You are good, and everything You do is good.

So let me experience You today.

In all of Your abundant loving kindness,

even though I am in all of my unworthiness.

Touch my life in ways that are very personal

so that I don't miss your fingerprints.

Bless me, Lord, I pray-- bless me, indeed!

And I will praise You, from whom

all blessings flow

Amen.

"A Voice in the Wind"

I read "A Voice in the Wind" by Francine Rivers for my book club. This is the first book in the Mark of the Lion book series. I had a hard time getting into it because the violence in the beginning. But I am glad I finished it and went on the read the next two books in the series, "Echo in the Darkness" & "As Sure as the Dawn". Reading this book has made me really appreciated the freedom we have to be Christians in todays world.

I have to say one good thing coming out of me being laid off, is now I spend a lot more time reading my bible. I am finding joy in reading the bible before it was always a struggle. God has blessed me and opened my eyes!

Working with a Magic Wand

Today my former boss called me. He wants to hire me for one day to come whip the office into shape. He said the office is a mess. He must expect me to come with my magic wand, to straighten out three months without me, in just one day. Just thinking about how the file drawers may look, is giving me a headache. But I will give it my best! Wish me and my wand luck!

Job Fair

Jobing.com arena had a job fair yesterday over 10,000 people came out for a chance at 200 jobs. They were lined up all the way to the University of Phoenix Stadium . This shows how bad the economic crisis is here in Phoenix. I didn't go because I am fighting a head cold. But I am glad I didn't, the majority they talked to on the news said they were told to apply online. After waiting all that time in line just to be told to apply online would be very heart breaking!

I am sad that the Cardinals didn't win. But I am so proud of them for playing hard and making it to the Super Bowl. So many believed they didn't deserve to be there. But I believe they played a great game. They came up short without the win, but they played with heart and soul! Thank you Cardinals for a great season! And I look forward to next year!

Hockey

My friend Theresa got us tickets for the Coyote game last night. We were in the Toyota Club. This Club is located between the locker rooms. So when the players come out we are right there to see them. So Cool!

We had great seats, on the 5 row.

Me showing off my ticket! They were $180. dollar tickets, thank God we didn't have to pay for them. They were given to her from her cousin who couldn't go because he is in Tampa for the Super Bowl. Go Cards!

Theresa and I got our picture up on the jumbo tron again. Someone up there must like us!

My fav player # 13 Daniel Carcillo got into 2 fights almost 3 and spent most of the game in the penalty box.
