I finished reading "More Than Petticoats: Remarkable Arizona Women" by Wynne Brown. I was fascinated to learn of these women that made a difference in Arizona History. There was Lozen who was a shield for her people. Who rode with Geronimo. Pearl Hart who was Arizona's Lady Bandit. Teresa Urrea was a "Healing Saint of Cabora". Luisa Ronstadt Espinel "Artistic Interpreter of Spanish Culture" and more who's stories are equally interesting. I wish I was this interested in History when I was still in school!
There are more of these books, "More Than Petticoats" for other states written by different authors.

Sounds like a great read, thanks for sharing! It's funny how history gets so much more interesting as we get older. :-D

I agree History does get alot more interesting for us as we get older! I'm gonna look and see if Michigan has any books like that. I love the history of the town I grew up in and still live in! Your name is really cute. I adore cherries. I decorate with them in my kitchen and love Mary Engelbriet for all her whimsical things she has! Hope ya have a great week! Take care, Fran.
I haven't read any books so far this year....it's always on my to do list but I never seem to reach it. I like Tami Hoag - let me know if you like the one you're reading.
I haven't read this particular book, but I'm going to find it. I love the history books of Arizona.
